The goal of this course is to prepare you to be flexible and handle a variety of management circumstances, according to the label and to the law. It is expected that you have read and reviewed the manual for GHP before attending this class.
Topics include:
- Biology and control of stinging insects, bed bugs, lice, ticks, stored product/fabric pests, occasional invaders, and fleas.
- How to survive a Department of Agriculture business inspection
- How to develop a complete Integrated Pest Management (IPM) plan.
- Advanced label navigation
- Learn the advantages and disadvantages of different formulations of common products
- How to properly rotate products successfully
Cancellation Policy:
- Full refund up to 7 days before the class.
- There is a 50% cancellation fee 2 to 6 days before the class.
- No refunds the day before or the day of the event (including no shows).
Program Comments: This course includes a lecture and hands-on portion. It is 2.5 days long and is team taught by FDACS, industry experts, and UF/IFAS.
The Certification Exam is administered and controlled by FDACS. Exam takers MUST have their voucher number from FDACS in order to sit for the exam. Because of this, we recommend PMU attendees that are planning to take the exam submit their applications to FDACS 1 to 2 months before the exam date. Exam applications can be filled out online at https://aeslicensing.fdacs.gov/
