About the Instructor:

Javier A Miranda is the founder of Agile Ratio. He is responsible for translating project delivery best practices to practical approaches to allow any kind of organization to adapt and innovate rapidly.

Javier was educated in Project Management best practices with the first edition of the PMBOK® Guide (1996) and he passed the PMP® exam using the 2nd edition (2000). He has been teaching PMP® exam preparation courses since the 3rd edition (2004) until the most recent version, with more Agile contents.

Javier has hands-on experience with several project delivery methodologies, guides and frameworks and has applied Agile practices in projects since 2000. He has mentored in several agile methods such as Scrum, XP, FDD and related topics as part of former technology and entrepreneurship communities like: DevTitans, PR .Net users Group (PRdotNet), Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) Tours and PR developers Group (PRDG).

In his most recent contribution to a Fortune 500 company, Javier adapted Agile/Scrum to be used outside of the IT environment to solve complex business problems and for the rapid creation of new programs and business services performing roles such as Agile Coach and Scrum Master.

Recently, Mr. Miranda performed as an international consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and their clients where he provided workshops & coaching on Agile / Scrum in the Caribbean and the Americas. In addition, Javier improved the Agile/Scrum adoption by Abarca Healthcare among 8 development teams and leadership (+50 staff).
