Plot Twist and Improv Friends Event

Come join us for a night of laughter and spontaneity at Old Major! Grab some food, some drinks, and a great seat so you can laugh into the night! Doors open at 6PM for food and beverage service, and the improv starts at 7PM.

"What is improv?" you may ask. Great question, you're very smart! Improv is a form of comedy where everything is made up on the spot and inspired by audience suggestions. So come out and see some comedy that's never been done before and will never be done again!

This event will feature 3 distinct improv teams perfroming their own sets, plus 2 bonus sets made up from members of the different teams. Featured amongst these bonus sets will be short improv games like those from "Whose Line Is It Anyway?", some of which will have (voluntary) audience participation!

THE LINEUP:

Twig! is a Baltimore-based improv troupe started by a crew of silly, silly gooses (geese?) that love comedy and at some point decided we didn’t mind each other so much, either. And what’s with all this Twig! business, you ask? Well… that’s “The Wednesday Improv Group”, of course!

Unofficial is an indie improvised musical that doesn’t need approval. Every show is completely unauthorized, unscripted, and unrepeatable. Expect story-driven performances with wild characters and grand story arcs, original songs, clever lyrics, and surprising twists. Whether you love Off-Broadway-style creativity, genre mashups, or high-energy fun, this intimate, immersive show gives Baltimore a bold, experimental, must-see indie musical that pushes the limits of Baltimore theater.

Plot Twist is a large improv troupe that came together through classes at the Baltimore Improv Group. So, you could say they are a big BIG group! You can also say they are a talented group with a diverse array of players that all offer something unique. Be prepared for some plot twists!
