Play & Learn: Chirp! Soar! Explore!

Come join us at Jay Cooke State Park for a fun-filled morning of outdoor adventures! Our event, Play & Learn: Chirp! Soar! Explore! is geared towards alternative caregivers (grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, neighbors, foster parents) and the children they care for. Parents are also welcome to join! We will create our very own binoculars, read a story, have a snack, and look for birds. Bring your baby carriers if needed. Each child receives a book and a take home activity!

Jump Start 4 Kindergarten is a collaboration of early childhood programs working to ensure that all children have the skills and experiences they need to be ready for kindergarten. We partner with early childhood programs to collect data on where each child and class is in their learning using the Brigance Assessment System. Jump Start provides resources, assessment support and materials, networking and professional development to support a quality early childhood environment county-wide.
