About this event

Plastic Ashes is a Los Angeles-based experimental performance collective utilizing music, dance, performance art, and video forms to create story in live spectacle. The Ballad of Isolde, a concert based on an electro-folk concept album (release date Fall 2025), illuminates the mythic journey of young Isolde as she breaks free from the plastic confines of her past, loses herself in the wilderness of her shadow self, and transforms. The music balances acoustic and electronic vibrations, taiko drums and trip-hop rhythm loops, ethereal harmonies and discordant vocalizations. Modern dance and ritual movement combine with film and image projection to bring the story to life.
