Planning a Garden for Pollinators
Overview
Discover how to make your garden and landscaping come alive with native pollinators! In this workshop, participants will learn how to identify common Californian native pollinators and learn how they play a crucial role in our local ecosystem and in our vegetable patches. We will focus on how to evaluate and plan a garden to make room for native pollinators.
You’ll also explore how to choose the right California native plants, design a space for continuous nectar sources and reduce pesticide use while maintaining an attractive and beautiful space to be present in. Whether you’re building a garden from scratch or adapting your existing landscaping, you’ll leave with practical ideas to make your garden a welcoming, low-maintenance habitat for native pollinators. Pre-registration is required.
