Where should I park?

Free street parking is available on MLK Jr. or Nancy Pelosi Drive. Please do not leave valuables in your car. (NOTE: Do not use the parking garage. The public parking garage is not owned by the Academy and closes early.)

Where do I enter?

Since this is an after-hours event, we ask that you use the Business Entrance at 75 Nancy Pelosi Drive (on the South side of the building.) Please have your ID ready for check-in.

Will the rest of the museum be open?

Unfortunately, we cannot open the rest of the museum during this event. Only the planetarium will be open for the screening.

What are the age requirements? (Should I bring my kids?)

While children 7+ are permitted in the Morrison Planetarium, please note that this event is geared towards artists to learn about the fulldome production pipeline and processing of astronomical data.

What if I'm late?

Accepted Answer

Due to the nature of the immersive screen, late entries will be at the discretion of the guest services staff, as not to block the projectors during the show. Those more than a few minutes late for showtime may be asked to wait until the Making-of presentation for entry.

How long is the planetarium show.

Accepted Answer

The planetarium show runs just under 30 minutes. The following Making-of presentation should run about 30-40 minutes, with time for Q&A after.
