Frequently asked questions
While we issue tickets due to limited seating, yes, the public shows really are free. However, we do accept voluntary donations to help fund future shows (new feature movies can easily cost thousands for us to purchase). Donations are most easily made online at https://tinyurl.com/3us8rpb2.
Please go back into the event at Eventbrite.com and cancel the ticket order to free up the seats for others to use. Please don't come sick.
Coming into the dome theater after the show has started is highly discouraged. Entries and exits during the show are very disuptive as they ruin the dark. So please arrive a few minutes early and wait in the hallway for check-in.
Please bring the ticket QR code either on your electronic device or on paper. But do not stay home if your ticket is lost; we can check you in by name.
Yes, it is OK if each attendee has a ticket. We do not check IDs. There may be some seats available on stand-by basis as well.
No. Your electronic devices need to be completely off during the show. For the same reason, please don't bring flashy, blinky shoes or bright watches. You are welcome to take pictures after the show when the lights are on.
The show is G-rated, but small children probably don't have the requisite attention span. The theater gets dark and we strongly discourage entering or exiting during the show. Please try to not disturb the other attendees.
Parking is available on the street west and south of the building and across the street west
Yes, if there are seats still available at show time we can allow stand-by individuals in, up to the seating capacity.
No.
We also schedule private shows for school, community, and family groups, often during the daytime. Please visit http://www.snow.edu/planetarium for more information. There is a suggested monetary donation for private shows.
