What discoveries are scientists at ASU in Physics and the School of Earth and Space Exploration currently pursing?

Come find out through jargon-free presentations, demonstrations, and interactive discussions on topics in: astrophysics, astrobiology, cosmology, particle physics, materials physics, biophysics, and planetary science.

The program includes:

2:30-3 Check in at the 3rd floor of PSH, ASU Tempe Campus

3-4 A series of short talks (~8min) with small group discussions in between the talks. The talks are presented by current ASU graduate land upper division evel researchers in physical sciences.

4-5 Walk around to view interactive demos and projects presented by ASU undergraduates on topics such as robotics, dark matter, biophysics, and more.

5-6 Keynote talk, free tamales and prizes! The keynote talk is by ASU's School of Earth and Space Exploration Professor Sara Walker, who studies astrobiology - the possibility of life on other planets.

This activity is recommended for ages 13+ since research presentations will include high school level vocabulary, sitting and listening to oral presentations. Younger children are welcome, but may find some of the presentations harder to understand.
