Place, Preservation and Public Memory in Philadelphia
Event Information
About this Event
Culture is deeply connected to place. As Philadelphia evolves, through rehabs and construction, we look for ways to honor the city’s history through preserving places of interest, especially sites that are culturally significant.
Join PlanPhilly for a discussion among preservationists, developers, activists and community members about the challenges and importance of preserving places. Learn more about what's being done to protect sites that speak to our collective histories and future narratives.
A reception will follow the panel.
Panelists: Ori Feibush (OFC), Paul Farber (Monument Lab), Faye Anderson (All That Philly Jazz) and Karyn Olivier (Tyler School of Art)
Moderator: Ariella Cohen, PlanPhilly
