Come join Pint Size Protesters as we learn antiracism through play & education! We're excited to kick off our new recurring series with our very first playdate ... and a topic on many folks' minds.

Here's how it works:

Our inaugural Playdate with a Purpose topic is "honesty in education." First, we'll go through a kid-friendly, interactive lesson to help kids understand the importance of learning America's true history and how this knowledge supports antiracism.

Next up - action! We'll have pre-made postcards that each family can fill out and send to local & state lawmakers, urging them to consider supporting honesty in education in ALL schools. Take some, mail 'em, and keep working for the truth.

And finally - play! Kids get to just be kids, adults can hang with other adults, and if you're lucky, everyone leaves tired and earns a nap later!

About the location:

We'll plan to meet in the Apple Ridge picnic area of Sharon Woods. Simply follow the Apple Ridge directional signs once you turn into the Metro Park and look for our large Pint Size Protesters banner! We'll either be at the covered picnic shelter or at an open picnic table cluster.

If the picnic areas at Apple Ridge are full, we'll shift to Maple Grove picnic area slightly further into the Metro Park.

Masks are required since many of our children are too young to be vaccinated.
Social distancing also required
Bring chairs & blankets for your family in the event we are unable to secure a covered shelter with picnic tables
Snacks & water will be provided, but feel free to bring your own, too
Plenty of hand sanitizer will be available!
