Pinalatta is a basic pasta dough flavored with vanilla. The dough is rolled out flat and cut into small diamond shapes and deep fried until crispy. The dough puffs up slightly and once fully cooked (about 1 minute) it is dusted in sugar and cinnamon and set aside briefly to cool. Once cooled the fried dough bits are then mixed with honey that is heated in a pot. Once covered they mixture is transferred to a bowl or cup and sprinkled with non-periles. The sweetness from the honey and the crispy fried dough is the perfect combination of flavors. It is the perfect thing to bring to an Xmas party or give as gifts.
