This class will be a basic 101 workout. To me, Pilates is a work in progress; starting slowly and really understanding the fundamentals of the exercises before we advance to more challenging Pilates workouts.I want you to understand where your Powerhouse (AKA your core) is, what role the frame of your body plays, the importance of body alignment, and how breathing will affect your performance. I will demonstrate the proper positions and forms for each exercise.I will also give modifications if you have a delicate neck and/or back. Remember, always listen to your body! Never stress or strain, but that doesn't mean don't challenge yourself! Pilates is about quality, not quantity. It's okay if you need to modify the exercises, you will still be working your powerhouse and maybe can work up to more advanced movement.So, if you're ready, grab your mat, grab your water, and let's begin!I have been doing Pilates for ten years.
