Picnic at Parsons

• Bring your own picnic. (No food or beverages will be sold at this event)
• Table and chairs will be provided.
• Items to bring include lunch, beverage, tablecloth, plates, eating utensils, glassware, and a centerpiece or any table decor of your choice (get festive and creative). This is a carry in/carry out event so please bring your own garbage bag.
• Remember to include napkins (cloth if possible) for the commencing napkin twirl!
• Alcohol is not permitted at this event.
• To have a place at the table you must reserve a spot here on Eventbrite. Be sure to incude how many people will be in your group.
• All Rye residents and their guests are invited to this free event.
• There will be Rye trivia, and an apple pie contest!

Pie Contest Information

• One entry per person
• Participation limited to all Rye residents and all Rye town employees
• Apple pies must have a pastry or crumb topping
• Pies must be brought to Parson's Field between 11:30-12:00, along with a sheet of paper providing the following information: Name, address, and phone number of the person who baked the pie, and the recipe ingredients (measurements not required).

• Due to the size of our judges stomachs, we can only allow up to 10 pies to be entered into the contest, so sign up soon if you are interested.All pie entries must be registered before Sunday, September 14th, 2025

Judging

• Pies will be numbered upon receipt - judges will not know whose apple pie they are judging
• Pies will be judged for taste, consistency, and appearance
• First, second, and third place designations will be awarded
