Brine Time at the Farm
If you’ve ever wanted to get more creative with preserving fresh produce, this hands-on pickling class is the perfect place to start. Hosted at Life Farms and led by John Barbie of Tip Top Canning, you’ll learn how to make four different jars of pickled seasonal vegetables—each with its own unique combination of vinegars and spices.
You’ll explore the basics of vinegar-based preservation, learn how to safely and confidently pickle a variety of vegetables, and discover how to bring flavor and personality into every jar. It’s an easy-to-follow, beginner-friendly workshop designed to help you take home practical skills (and plenty of pickled goodies).
Each participant will leave with:
• Four jars of pickled organic vegetables
• A recipe handout with tips and techniques
• The confidence to keep pickling at home
All supplies and ingredients are included in your registration fee, and all veggies are harvested from Life Farms.
