His photographic teachings have been viewed by millions around the globe; and his visual aids have proven to be popular and effective. Photography has been a life-long passion for John, starting at the age of 10. His range of experiences, combined with his desire to help fellow photographers grow, has positioned John as a world-leader in photographic education. John resides in Washington State and, as a typical Pacific Northwesterner, can frequently be found in the outdoors; always experiencing life through photography.

Now in its 16th year, PhotoFest continues to exceed our wildest expectations. The three-day event includes a broad spectrum of on-location shoots, studio settings, photowalks, lectures, and product demonstrations. It gives a larger purpose to reconnect not only to our art, but to each other. Image-making and visual storytelling capture moments that are fleeting, but the relationships we build along the way endure.
