How long is the program?

Fun pre-concert activities will run from 1:00-1:50 PM. The concert will take place from 2:00 PM until about 2:50 PM.

Is it okay for a young child to attend?

Please bring your young child. It is okay if your child makes a bit of noise. If your child begins crying, you can easily reach the doors and leave the auditorium until your child settles.

Can we buy tickets at the door?

You can if they are available, but it really helps us if people buy tickets in advance. This way we can make sure that we have enough crafts for children to make.

Will the concert be performed if the weather is bad?

We will present the program unless the school is closed. Watch our website and social media for updates. If you have purchased tickets in advance, we will send a message the morning of the program to let you know whether the program will take place as planned. This update will come via Eventbrite.

Join the Loudoun Symphony for this enchanting tale that is a perfect beginning for your child's magical journey with music.

Join the Loudoun Symphony Woodwind Quintet for Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, an enchanting tale that has delighted young children for generations.

Follow Peter through the unique sound of orchestral instruments as he sets out into the deep forest to catch a wolf. Each character is brought to life by the sounds of a distinct instrument in a story narrated by music educator and bassoonist, Matt Ogden. Keep an ear out for other musical friends throughout the experience.

This interactive event is the perfect introduction to your child’s magical journey with music. Arrive at 1:00 PM to enjoy concert-themed activities including Meet the Instruments, crafts, and more!
