Pete Oswald reads and signs THE HUMBLE PIE at B&N The Grove!

Join us for a special interactive storytime , perfect for kids aged 0-5. This week, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 am, we welcome designer, author, and illustrator Pete Oswald to the store to read The Humble Pie and Have Yourself a Cheesy Little Christmas. After the reading, Pete will give the kids a chance to learn to draw the characters from the books. Don't miss your chance to add the newest additions in the #1 New York Times bestselling Food Group series from Jory John and Pete Oswald to your shelf.

The Humble Pie likes to give others the spotlight. Aw, shucks!—they deserve it! But when he’s paired with his best friend, Jake the Cake, for a school project, he soon realizes that staying in the shadows isn’t always as sweet as pie. Readers of all ages will laugh along as their new pie pal discovers that letting your voice be heard always takes the cake!

Every December, the Big Cheese hosts a gigantic jamboree with flashy decorations, sparkling outfits, extravagant gifts, ear-bursting music, and jaw-dropping entertainment. It's the #1 party in town and it can't be beat!

To make this event safe and enjoyable for all attendees, please read the below guidelines so you know what to expect on the day.

GUIDELINES

• This is a Story Time reading and meet & greet event. Ideal for your little ones!

• Your ticket comes with the selected book. Additional copies will be for sale at the event.
• The artist will sign books after the reading.
• Photos will be taken by a BN bookseller on the ticket holder's phone or camera.

• No large bags will be permitted into the event.

• Barnes & Noble may cancel this event at any time with or without notice to the ticket holders.

Humble Pie Admission - $21.94 **LIMITED QUANTITY AVAILABLE**

A ticket PER PERSON includes:

• One copy of The Humble Pie.
• Admission to the event space for the discussion and signing with Pete Oswald.

Cheesy Little Christmas Admission - $17.55 **LIMITED QUANTITY AVAILABLE**

A ticket PER PERSON includes:

• One copy of Have Yourself a Cheesy Little Christmas.
• Admission to the event space for the discussion and signing with Pete Oswald.

Attendees will be admitted into the event beginning at 10:00 AM on the day of the event. This Story Time will take place in the third-floor event space. Check in at the third-floor customer service desk if you have any questions.

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES

• Some outside queuing may be required, so please come dressed appropriately for all weather.
• The exact time at which the event ends will be determined on the day.
• To avoid disappointment, we strongly advise you to arrive on time for the event. Late arrivals may not have the opportunity to enter the event space.
• Seating will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Due to health and safety and space limitations, those without a ticket will not be permitted to join the queue.

REFUNDS

Attendees can receive refunds up to 1 day before the event.

If you are unable to attend the event, Barnes & Noble - The Grove will hold your book for seven days after the event. Please contact the store to arrange your pickup.
