Training Description

This session provides an in-depth exploration of co-teaching models that promote successful educational design. Attendees will learn about six co-teaching approaches and discover strategies for how to use these models to enhance collaboration, planning, data collection, and differentiation. The presentation also highlights the benefits of co-teaching for students and educators, emphasizing equity, accessibility, and professional growth.



Training Objectives

Participants will gain knowledge of the six co-teaching models and understand how to apply them in the classroom setting. Including a series of action steps to integrate different strategies within the co-teaching models to enhance collaboration, joint planning, data collection, and differentiation to meet the needs of all students.

About the Presenter

Dr. Krystle Merry is a Lecturer at the University of Maine. She is a National Board Certified Teacher Exceptional Needs Specialist, Digital Accessibility Specialist, and educator with over 15 years of inclusive education experience. She has a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction Special Education, Masters in Gifted and Talented, Bachelors in Middle Childhood Education, and Certificates in Autism, Transition, and ESOL.
