Join us at the People of the Americas Unite event at the Veterans Memorial Building in Santa Cruz, CA! Let's come together to stand up against the xenophobia, scapegoating, and tyranny of the Trump Administration; let's resist the bullying of immigrants and disdain toward Canada/Mexico/Central America. Speakers to include: Dolores Huerta (co-founder of the United Farmworkers Union), Daniel Sheehan (Chief Counsel of the Romero Institute), and Chase Iron Eyes (Executive Director of the Lakota People's Law Project). Renowned Brazilian musician Poranguí will perform to close out the evening. There will be a (free) rally open to the public at the Clock Tower in downtown Santa Cruz at 4 PM prior to the talks/music. Talks begin indoors at 6 PM and music starts at 8. The event ends at 10. This in-person gathering will be a powerful opportunity to resist the toxic immigration and tariff policies of the Trump Administration, and to explore approaches to strengthening community across North America. Together, we can create a more inclusive continent!
