The Edinburgh Grand and The Register Club are proud to present a series of brand new supper clubs.

The first of the gourmet experiences will be hosted on February 20th by Bristol-based chefs Josh Eggleton, Head Chef at Michelin star gastropub The Pony & Trap, and Rob Howell, Head Chef at veg-centric Bib Gourmand awarded restaurant, Root.

The main Supper Club takes place from 7 pm, prior to this, the star chefs will also put on a cookery masterclass in the hotel’s stunning penthouse apartment. Guests at the Penthouse Social will not only receive a masterclass but also canapes inspired by the Supper Club’s five-course menu.

Booked separately here*, from 7 pm the Supper Club will welcome guests with a drinks reception in the beautiful surroundings of The Register Club, followed by a five-course dinner designed and prepared by the chefs with paired wines, in the exquisite setting of the classic but contemporary décor of The Games Room.

About the Chefs

Josh Eggleton, The Pony & Trap

Josh Eggleton is owner and chef patron of the Michelin Starred Pony & Trap in Chew Magna, south of Bristol. The Pony & Trap is also named as the second best gastropub at the Estrella Top 50 Gastropubs awards and has received countless other accolades placing him in the upper echelons of British chefs.

Rob Howell, Root

Rob Howell is the head chef at Root, a veg-centric restaurant in Bristol's Wapping Wharf owned by chef Josh Eggleton. Previously head chef at Josh's Michelin-starred pub The Pony & Trap, he runs Root with his girlfriend Megan Oakley covering front of house. Rob has also worked at Ondine in Edinburgh and Goodfellows in Wells, as well as completing stages at esteemed restaurants such as Studio in Copenhagen, Elystan Street and Restaurant Nathan Outlaw.
