Join Us at Peninsula College's Heart of the Lion Community Event!
Join us for a free private community event celebrating cougars (also called mountain lions and pumas) and other wildlife, with a special showing of Heart of the Lion for community members, supporters, and all the people who made the film possible. Heart of the Lion is a feature length documentary highlighting the work of biologist Mark Elbroch, the Teton Cougar Project, the Olympic Cougar Project, and the rugged wilderness settings of Jackson, Wyoming, and our Olympic Peninsula. The film follows two cougar mothers, F61 and Yoko, to reveal an intimate and rarely seen portrait of one of North America’s most misunderstood carnivores. https://www.heartofalionfilm.com/
Director Joe Pontecorvo will also be on hand for questions. Olympic Cougar project staff will also be on scene sharing facts and information about local cougars. Everyone welcome. Bring your friends, bring your energy, and let's make some unforgettable memories together!
Due to the limited capacity of the theater, we ask that you register for free tickets, and bring your tickets with you to the show.
