Pen to Paper: Join Us at the Writing Table - An AllSwell Journaling Workshop
Join us at the writing table for this inspiring guided writing session led by celebrated journaling expert and AllSwell Creative Founder, Laura L. Rubin. We’ll convene fireside in the Carriage House of the historic, elegant Baker House hotel.
181 Main Street
East Hampton, NY, 11937
Saturday, October 18th | 3-5 pm
Presented by Biography Skincare
In collaboration with Night Owl Baker
In support of A Chance for Life Foundation
You don’t have to be a “good writer” or have even journaled before in order to enjoy and derive the benefits of this creativity and mood-boosting workshop. You'll come away with a suite of actionable, accessible ways to help you feel better on a day-to-day basis—mentally, emotionally and physiologically.
We’re welcoming Rubin back for one of her signature journaling workshops. Inspired by Biography Skincare, this particular experience will help us draw out and appreciate our own stories, “Because there’s no more important biography than yours.”
Whether you have a consistent writing practice or you're curious about starting one, come join AllSwell’s founder as she walks us through enjoyable, accessible writing-based activities to get the most out of picking up a pen. She’ll show us how to use mindful journaling to increase creativity, decrease anxiety and combat digital overwhelm.
AllSwell notebook and writing implements will be provided, as well as light bites by local legend Night Owl Baker. You’ll go home with Biography Skincare’s cult-status body oil, Sea Chrome, and a stash of “flat belly bread” from Night Owl. Just bring you (and maybe a friend).
Gentle reminders: There's no such thing as being “bad” at journaling, so no stress is necessary. And nobody will be made to read aloud from the pages of their notebooks, though sharing your experience is welcome. Relax, enjoy.
10% of ticket sales will be donated to A Chance For Life.

About AllSwell
The Mission
To help people wake up to their own voice, personal path and radical self-worth through creativity. Born from a morning surf check with uninspiring results, Laura sat on the beach and journaled instead. She wrote “Swell or no swell, all’s well,” and an idea for a brand was born. She recognized journaling had a bit of a “PR problem” and wanted to invite more people to reap the mental and emotional benefits of putting pen to paper. With a dedication to quality design and environmental sensitivity, Laura introduced the brand with a suite of products to encourage analog expression and grew it to include original live workshops, digital experiences and 1:1 creative coaching.
