Overview

FREE California POST Entry-Level Law Enforcement Test Battery-POST PELLETB offered by the Alameda County Sheriff's Office

The Alameda County Sheriff's Office proudly offers the California POST Entry-Level Law Enforcement Test Battery – POST PELLETB Written Exam.

The exam is free to attend but with limited seating. Please click here for registration and up-to-date seating availability.

The PELLETB is a multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank written examination designed to measure reading and writing ability. Applicants are given 2 ½ hours to complete the PELLETB.

While test takers may take the PELLET B multiple times to achieve the desired score (42), California POST prohibits test takers from testing more than once in 30 days. Taking the test within 30 days of a prior POST PELLETB examination will invalidate the test results.

To comply with California POST security measures, we must view and retain your government-issued photo ID for the exam.

Please plan to arrive early. Check-in is at 1630 hours (4:30pm), and the test begins promptly at 1700 hours (5:00pm). Sign in at the kiosk in the lobby, under Backgrounds and wait to be escorted to the exam room.

Recruiters from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office will be present to answer questions and speak to the attendees.

For further information or questions, please contact the Alameda County Sheriff's Office - Recruiting Unit at joinacso@gmail.com or call (925) 551-5730.
