PELLET B (Free Exam)
Overview
The Alameda County Sheriff's Office proudly offers the California POST Entry-Level Law Enforcement Test Battery-POST PELLETB Written Exam.
The exam is free to attend but with limited seating. Please click here for registration and up-to-date seating availability.
The PELLETB is a multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank written examination designed to measure reading and writing ability. Applicants are given 2 ½ hours to complete the PELLETB.
While test takers may take the PELLET B multiple times to achieve the desired score (42), California POST prohibits test takers from testing more than once in 30 days. Taking the test within 30 days of a prior POST PELLETB examination will invalidate the test results.
To comply with California POST security measures, we must view and retain your government-issued photo ID for the exam.
Please plan to arrive early. Check-in is at 1030 hours (10:30am), and the test begins promptly at 1100 hours (11am). Recruiters from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office will be present to answer questions and speak to the event attendees.
