Join us as we investigate effective ways to communicate professionally in the Peer Recovery Supporter field.

We will cover:

  • email & phone etiquette
  • in-person communication
  • professional meetings
  • best practices for tough conversations with the people we serve
  • how to communicate with your employer/boss

    Objectives:
  • Learn the types of communication and best practices for each type of communication.
  • Learn how to be concise and professional when communicating.
  • Learn how to open the door for conversations around tough topics you may face in the peer space.

Is this held at The PEER Center?

No, this training is only provided virtually. Participants will be sent a Zoom link. Please do NOT come to The PEER Center!


Are CEUs provided for this training?

Yes, 2 CEUs are available. To qualify for CEUs your camera must be on and you must participate. You must attend the entire 2 hour session, there is no partial credit provided.


Are there any fees to attend?

No. Registration is free and there are no other fees.


I am not a certified peer supporter. Can I still attend?

Absolutely! These classes are designed for all peers - both those currently working in peer support and those who are considering entry into the field.


I am not a peer, can I attend?

Absolutely! These classes are designed for peers, but we welcome anyone who is interested in finding out more about peer support.
