The Paint Valley ADAMH Board, through grant funding provided by Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services, will be sponsoring a Peer Recovery Speacialist continuing education training.

Training will take place at the Chillicothe Ross County Library- Northside Branch Meyers Meeting Room on June 19th.

Brian L. Bethel, PhD.,LPCC-S, LCDC III, RPT-S will be presenting.

Topics will include Introduction and Review of Objectives, Principles of Coaching as Applied to the Delivery of Peer Services, Ethics of Trauma Informed Care and Special Populations, the Importance of Trauma Informed Care, Adddressing Boundarie with Special Populations, Human Trafficking, Diversity Inclusion and Cultural Sensitivity, and System Navigation.

Anyone who lives or works in Ross, Pike, Pickaway, Fayette, or Highland Counties are eligible to register.

This training is for people who are already Peer Recovery Specialists to obtain continued edication. This is not to obtain your PRS.

Refreshments will be sponsored by Appalachian Children Coalition.
