Peacekeeper/Marshall Training for Protests

Date: Sunday, July 13, 2-4:30pm

Location: Newtown Friends Meeting

David Brooks stated recently that we need to take to the streets in large and sustained numbers to address the crisis we are currently in. Protests are taking place at an increased pace across our nation, as this has become a way to speak out. Join us for this experiential training to learn how to keep the peace and ensure the safety of others during protests or town hall meetings. The trainers will cover de-escalation techniques, communication strategies, crowd management and issues that can unexpectedly arise. We will help to equip you with the skills needed to be an effective peacekeeper/marshall.

Frequently asked questions

What if I can't make it at the last minute? Will there be another training opportunity?

Please call Barbara if you can't make it: 215-833-7877. We probably won't hold another training until the fall.

Is there plenty of parking?

Parking is limited, so if you are able, please park at the Stocking Works just up the street, or behind the State Store on State Street.
