VENUE & DIRECTIONS

Founded in the late 19th century to promote thoughtful design in the Berkeley Hills, the Hillside Club is now a welcoming, community-based organization dedicated to supporting the arts and culture.

The venue itself features soaring ceilings, abundant natural light from large windows, and a warm, historic character, making it an ideal space for a workshop.

Nestled in a picturesque residential area, the Club is just a short stroll from Shattuck Avenue, one of Berkeley’s most vibrant corridors. There you’ll find an eclectic mix of acclaimed restaurants, cozy cafés, independent bookstores, and unique boutiques—perfect for exploring throughout the weekend. The neighborhood blends artistic spirit with small-town charm, creating a rich, inspiring atmosphere for visitors.

ABOUT PAUL

Paul Selig is a writer, empath, and conscious channel. He received his master’s degree from Yale and served on the faculty of NYU for over 25 years. A spiritual experience in 1987 left him clairvoyant. His breakthrough works of channeled literature—including I Am the Word, The Book of Mastery, and The Book of Innocence—have become some of the most important and celebrated expressions of channeling since A Course in Miracles rose to prominence in the 1970s. Paul’s workshops have attracted a growing following around the world for their depth, intimacy, and psychological insight.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

"Just experiencing the energy in the room is worth it, but the attunements are exquisitely powerful and transformative. "

- Natasha S

"The message and revelations were very clear and absolutely accurate. I was, however, most moved by Paul himself, whose compassion feels so sincere and healing."

- Stephanie B

“Paul likes to describe himself as “just the guy who sits in the chair,” but his finely-tuned abilities enable transmission of the highest level of teachings I’ve heard."

- Bill Hooper

"Without a doubt...the most humbling, liberating and life changing experience, one that I will hold dear to my heart forever."

- Austin Thul

“Paul is honest, vulnerable and just straight up REAL... It is a gift beyond anything I can accurately express."

- Jeanette Brynn

Frequently asked questions

Do we attend the whole weekend or just one day?

This is a weekend workshop, so registration includes both days of the event.

Are beginners welcome, or is prior experience or reading required?

All are welcome. We always have a good mix of people who are new to the work, as well as longtime students. No prior experience or reading is necessary — we simply ask that you come with an open heart and an open mind.

Will there be opportunities to ask Paul and the Guides questions?

Yes, there will be a Q&A. You're welcome to ask about the teaching or your personal life. The Guides have a remarkable way of responding in ways that benefit the entire group.

Do I need a ticket?

No ticket is needed. We’ll have your name on our list and will check you in when you arrive.

Is lunch provided?

Lunch is not provided. Each day, we’ll break around 12:30 pm so you can venture out to eat. The lunch break typically lasts 75–90 minutes.

Is there parking available?

There’s street parking available near the venue, and no restrictions on weekends.

Are there any hotels nearby that you recommend?

While we haven't stayed in all of them personally, these hotels are within a 10-minute drive of the venue and receive good reviews: * Berkeley City Club * Hotel Shattuck Plaza * Bancroft Hotel * Graduate Berkeley

Will we receive a recording of the workshop?

Yes, everyone who registers will receive recordings of the lecture (not the Q&A) at no extra cost.
