Description
The Midwest Regional USPTO hosts an interactive rotating 3-part series on the patent process, types of patent applications and how to file, and interactive patent searching every 3rd Wednesday of each month. This event is intended for individuals with a beginning to intermediate level of knowledge of patents. Get the most out of Patent Wednesday by checking out the Patent Process Overview prior to the event.
Each class builds off the prior class, while it is not necessary, it is recommended to attend the series in order.
Part 1 - Patent Process - January 17, 2018; April 18, 2018; July 18, 2018; October 17, 2018.
Part 2 - Patent Applications and How to File - February 21, 2018; May 16, 2018; August 15, 2018; November 21, 2018.
Part 3 - Patent Searching - March 21, 2018; June 20, 2018; September 19, 2018; December 19, 2018.
An Economic Development Specialist from the Michigan Small Business Administration (Michigan SBA) will also provide an overview of their small business services and resource partners in counseling, capital, and contracting.
