Calling all aspiring robot builders & programmers! PART (Placer Advanced Robotics and Technology) is offering 2 fantastic STEM & robotics summer workshop courses right here in Placer County! Learn all about robotics and programming from the award-winning PART 81818 high school age VEX Competition teams!

These classes are perfect for students in 5-8th grade that are interested in robotics and enjoy working in small groups. Space is limited, so register now! Choose from either course, or register for both classes and receive a $25 discount!

COURSE 1 June 11-12, 10am - 4pm

VEX V5 ROBOTICS BUILDERS COURSE & MINI-COMPETITION $250

Our VEX Robotics builders course is perfect for 5-8th grade students interested in STEM and engineering! Working in small teams, students design and build their own VEX V5 robot. On Day 2, teams get to face off in an afternoon mini-tournament where the ultimate PART Summer Camp champion will be crowned!

Suitable for 5th-8th graders, no experience required

Our builders class is taught by PART high school VEX competition experts, including the receipts of the Build Award at the 2019 VRC California State Championships, the Design Award at the NorCal Rumble, and the Judges Award at the Google Signature Event.

VEX ROBOTICS C++ PROGRAMMING $125

Our VEX Robotics C++ Programming course is perfect for 5-8th grade students that love to code! Students will be introduced to C++ using the VEX programming environment, and learn how to program advanced encoder based movements and V5 sensors to complete a challenging autonomous course.

Suitable for 5th-8th graders, with basic programming experience

Our VEX C++ Programming class is taught by PART high school VEX competition experts with experience in C++ programming and the new VEX V5 system, including programmers from the winners of the 2019 NorCal Rumble Robot Skills Award.

PART high school students from Granite Bay and Del Oro high schools will teach all classes, with a PART adult mentor in attendance. Classes will be held at the HackerLab classroom in Rocklin, CA! Instructor to Student ratio will be a minimum of 5:1.

A parent/legal guardian must check their student in/out of the event - including completing the HackerLab Waiver at the front desk, and the Media Consent and the Emergency Medical Information forms.

How does the class check in / check out process work?

A parent/Legal guardians must check their child in and out of the event. The Waiver must be signed at the front desk, and Parent's must also complete and sign the Media Consent, and the Emergency Medical Information forms.

Is there a minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Students should be entering 5-8th grade for the upcoming school year. High school age students interested in competitive robotics should visit www.PlacerRobotics.org to learn more.

What's the refund policy?

Full refunds are offered up until May 12. Past May 12th we will be unable to issue refunds for any reason.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Registration/tickets are not transferrable. The student listed on the ticket must be the one in attendance. If you made a mistake during the ticketing process, please contact us at info@placerrobotics.org

What is the class schedule?
Classes will be held from 10-4pm each day, with regular lunch and snack breaks

Will lunch be provided?
Yes, PART will bring in lunch and have snacks available. Please make sure to let us know of any allergies or dietary restrictions when you purchase your registration.

Please arrive 15 minutes early the first day of your class to complete the check in process and sign the HackerLab Waivers at the front desk.

Students should be picked up promptly at 4pm
