We invite you to a timely conversation about international collaboration on climate action.

On Tuesday, December 9, to mark the progress and challenges since the 2015 Paris Agreement and following the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference of Parties (COP30) in Belém, Brazil, the Embassy of France in the United States and the George Washington University Alliance for a Sustainable Future invite you to a timely conversation about international collaboration on climate action.


Join us at the Maison Française of the Embassy of France for a morning of roundtable discussions with policymakers, diplomats (including the Ambassador of France and a representative from Brazil), NGOs, the private sector, and climate experts.

Among those we will hear from are :

  • Senator Whitehouse
  • Laurence Tubiana, one of the architects of the Paris Agreement
  • Ani Dasgupta, President and CEO, World Resources Institute
  • Dr. Adelle Thomas, Senior Director, Climate Adaptation, Environmental Health, Natural Resources Defense Council
  • Charles Allen, DC Ward 6 Council Member; Chairperson, Committee on Transportation and the Environment
  • Rebecca Goodstein, Patagonia Activism and Grants Manager
  • Casey Katims, Executive Director, US Climate Alliance

Security Rules: Please ensure all ticketholders and each guest attending with a ticketholder has valid photo ID. If you purchase more than one ticket, please send us the full name of each guest at least 72 hours prior to the event. All guests are required to be on the guest list in order to be admitted to the Embassy.

For security reasons, large bags, umbrellas, backpacks, and bike helmets are not allowed on Embassy grounds.

Kindly note that there is no on-site parking.
