Does your child struggle with emotional regulation, have ADHD symptoms, or have a diagnosis of CPTSD or other mental health issues due to being in foster care or previous abuse? You are not alone! The Light House is dedicated to the mental health of children in foster care and we know that continues to parents. This group handles many topics of discussion as well as trainings and sometimes just having fun with a community that understands where and what you're dealing with on a daily basis. This group is free of charge and we have snacks and drinks available.
We have this group available every other Sunday from 1-2:30pm at Smokyhill Library.
The Light House also does emotional regulation classes at the same time for the children and offers babysitting for the kids who are too young to participate. You do not have to have a current placement or have your children to be included in the support group. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at info@thelighthousedenver.org or to know more about The Light House, please visit our website at www.thelighthousedenver.org.
