Event Information
Description
Over the last decade, our evolving digital culture has changed how most of our families operate and created a new universal parenting struggle.
As parents, we need to be up-to-speed on the latest techniques to safeguard our children and have strategies for managing digital behaviors.
In our free November Lunch and Learn, Dr. Adam Pletter, licensed clinical psychologist and digital parenting expert, will present:
"Parenting in the Digital Age: A digital parenting workshop"
During this 90-minute workshop, Dr. Pletter will share with parents the strategies and tactics he recommends in his clinical practice. Dr. Pletter will discuss how to set up a family technology contract and guide parents in how to protect children by combining basic parental controls with proven behavior modification techniques to empower them to use technology safely. He will also include developmental recommendations for digital access so that parents are better equipped to teach their children as they grow and demonstrate good digital citizenship.
