What is the Raising Highly Capable Kids course?

Raising Highly Capable Kids is a 12-week evidence-based parenting program designed to empower parents with tools to build stronger families. It focuses on fostering 40 essential developmental assets in children that help them succeed in life.

Who is this support group/course for?

The group is for parents, guardians, and caregivers of children ages 0-18. It's ideal for anyone looking to strengthen their parenting skills and build healthier relationships with their children.

Is the group free?

Yes! The course, dinner, and childcare are all provided at no cost to participants.

What if I can't attend all 12 weeks?

While consistent attendance is encouraged to get the most out of the program, we understand that life happens. If you miss a session, resources will be available to help you catch up. We do highly encourage trying to make it to at least 10 of the 12 meetings.

What topics are covered in the course?

The course covers a wide range of topics, including: building strong communication skills, teaching responsibility and respect, establishing clear boundaries and expectations, and encouraging positive behavior and healthy habits.

Do I need to sign up in advance?

Yes! Pre-registration is required to reserve your spot. You can sign up by emailing Jennifer at changeyourlife@loveincgc.org or calling Love INC at 406-587-3008 (option 2).

Can both parents attend?

Absolutely! In fact, we encourage both parents or caregivers to participate to maximize the program's impact.

What if I am a single parent?

This program is designed to support all types of families, including single-parent households.
