Parent Support Group

This is a support group for kinship, fost-adopt and adoptive parents to share their joys and challenges and receive support from each other with a trained facilitator. We have childcare available to reduce barriers to families who want to attend. The group is facilitated by a social worker and foster and adoptive mom - Alyse Jeter Harris, MSW.

We welcome families who are part of Regional Post Adoption Services (RPACS) and those who are not engaged with services. We have information about RPACS at each meeting for interested families. In addition, if your family is in the process of adopting youth placed with you in foster care - we are happy to have you join this group. It is an open group to any family regardless of family configuration (single, married, interracial, LGBTQ headed, etc) and type of adoption or placement (kinship, foster care, international, infant).
