Parent Round table
Overview
The 9-weeks Parent Round Table is structured to assist families in conversations focusing on the relationship between behavioral and language challenges. During these sessions, parents will have opportunities to discuss and understand how social-emotional development is influenced by a child's biology, temperament, life experiences, and neurodevelopmental factors. The sessions will cover developmental stages from early childhood through middle school age. The emphasis will be on providing practical strategies for teaching self-control, which supports appropriate behavior across different social contexts. Parents will examine aspects such as emotional regulation, sustaining attention, and displaying socially suitable behaviors as important components for their children. The Round Table will also address strategies for helping children remain calm, attentive, and manage difficult situations effectively.
