Parent Resource Workshop: Navigating Disability Supports
Join us for an educational workshop designed specifically for parents who have a loved one with a disability at any stage of life. Day Spring is partnering with other disability experts, from early intervention to lifelong planning, all in one place to help equip families in our community.
This event is designed to provide support, resources, and a safe space for sharing experiences. Guests will enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks and have the opportunity to gather information that will help them make informed decisions about their loved ones future.

For over 50 years, Carriage House for Children has provided high-quality programs for children up to age six, including traditional preschool and individualized or group ABA services, fostering growth and learning for children of all abilities in our community.
Kentucky Autism Training Center (KATC)
KATC is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for autistics across all stages and settings of life. During the parent workshop, KATC will focus on caregiver resources to help parents find guidance, support, and balance for both their children and themselves.
Michael O'Brian - Behavioral Therapist
With over 20 years of experience in behavior and mental health therapy, Michael O’Brian became a Board-Certified Behavioral Therapist in 2016 after a decade at Our Lady of Peace. Now contracting through Pillar and Sage, he is dedicated to partnering with families to provide behavioral support that helps their loved ones overcome challenges and reach their fullest potential.
Samantha Harrison and her team serve as Disability Support Strategists, partnering with families to navigate waiver services and identify the best solutions to support their loved ones with disabilities.
Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS)
Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS), the largest school district in Kentucky, is dedicated to supporting students of all abilities through comprehensive public school services. During the workshop, JCPS will focus on IEPs and the transition of services that guide students throughout their educational journey.
Yussman Special Needs Law helps families plan for the long-term care and financial security of loved ones with disabilities. They provide expert guidance on creating special needs trusts and ABLE accounts, ensuring individuals can maintain their government benefits while receiving the support they need.
