By State Historical Society of North Dakota

Overview

Receive step-by-step guidance to make a paper quilled image.

Learn techniques to roll, shape, and glue the paper coils to create a variety of designs, then make your own piece of art to take home. Patterns will be provided. Participants ages 12 and up can learn this relaxing and creative art form.

Registration includes instruction, all materials, and admission to the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center galleries. Water and coffee will be available. Participants should bring a sack lunch, and those ages 12 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult.

This event is part of both the ND250 commemoration of the United States’ 250th birthday in 2026 and Vinterfest, a month-long celebration of winter on the northern Plains featuring educational programs, outdoor recreation, and cultural traditions.
