Conversation on sustainable art and design featuring Uribe and local sustainability partners.

Join the Copperbridge Foundation for a thought-provoking evening exploring how creativity can mobilize change in a time of global environmental crisis.

Following the opening of Federico Uribe’s acclaimed exhibition “On The Move,” this panel convenes artists, environmental advocates, and nonprofit leaders to discuss how art shifts public perception and builds partnerships for resilience in South Florida.

Panel Guests Include:

  • Co-Host: Councilman Kevin Burns
  • Federico Uribe (Artist): Known for transforming discarded materials into powerful ecological statements (On The Move, Plastic Reef).
  • Monica Carvalho (Artist): Her practice is based on artisanal techniques that he has perfected over decades, working with indigenous communities from different regions of Brazil.(Brooms Caress the Earth)
  • Goodwill: enhance the dignity and quality of life of individuals and families by strengthening communities and eliminating barriers to opportunity through learning and the power of work.
  • Volunteercleanup.org: engage volunteers in shoreline and neighborhood cleanups to raise awareness about marine debris and single-use plastics.
  • Mindful Art Education: combine mindfulness practices with art to foster creativity, emotional well-being, and self-expression in individuals of all ages.
  • Friends of Enchanted Forest: creating initiatives and committing our energy and efforts to help restore, improve and bring sustainability to the park.
