What is Scattergories:

Players attempt to create an answer that begins with the letter on the virtual die for each of the categories on their list.
For example: Letter on die is “S,” Categories: Things that are cold: Snow; Spices/Herbs: Sage

How to Play Scattergories:

Articles (A/An/The) do not fulfill the beginning letter requirement. Instead, the word following the article will be the letter that counts.
Example: If the letter was “W” and the category was TV Shows, The Walking Dead would count as an acceptable answer.
Players cannot use the same answer twice in the same round, even if it would otherwise be acceptable.
Last names can be used first, for example “Bush, George” as an answer for a US President beginning with “B”
Have fun and get creative! You can be flexible with your answers. Other players can challenge you, and answers that fail a group vote wont count towards your score.

Scoring/Winning

Players take turns reading their lists. Cross out any answers that matched another player. Players score one point for reach answer not crossed out.
Creative answers are allowed, but a player has the option of challenging an answer. If an answer is challenges, all players, including the player who’s answer is being challenged, vote on acceptability.

Please note, ASPIRE outings are only for UCF CARD constituents approved by their coordinator for ASPIRE. No siblings, parents, or other individuals will be permitted to participate.

*Minimum of 4 individuals per event. Please RSVP in order for us to know we have enough individuals registered for the event to take place. If minimum is not met, the event will be canceled and a notice will be sent out. PALS is not responsible for individuals who attend a canceled event.
