For the Paint Your Pet, here is what we need from you!

Please email a photo to hcomplinart@gmail.com, in the subject line of the email, please type PYP with the date of your ticket (ex. "April 13th")

We will only be using a headshot of larger animals like cats or dogs to make it easier for you to paint, we can crop your photo for you.

Tips for picking a good photo:

1. Closed mouths are easier to paint

2. Choose a photo with good lighting, it will make it easier for you to paint.

3. JPG format works the best, we will email back if the picture can not be downloaded on our end.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to draw the linework of my pet onto the canvas?

Nope, we can do that for you. Please email a photo to hcomplinart@gmail.com, in the subject line of the email, please type PYP with the date of your ticket (ex. "April 13th") We will only be using a headshot of larger animals like cats or dogs to make it easier for you.

How do I choose a photo for reference?

Find a picture of your pet that you like that is high resolution and not blurred, where your pet takes up most of the picture or can be cropped to be most of the painting. High-contrast images work best, make sure the photo is well-lit and everything looks clear.

My pet is black, how should I photograph them for best results?

The best way to be able to see details on an black cat or dog is to take the photo outside or to use the flash on your phone or camera indoors. This will create shiny reflections on your pet's fur so you can see the contours and shapes more easily for a painting.
