Frequently asked questions

What about food?

Light snacks, tea and coffee will be provided. AND all guest have access to the full kitchen, so feel free to bring your own lunch or snacks. Eat whenever you are hungry; there is no collective lunch time.

Can I arrive early?

Yes. Feel free to enjoy the extensive property before the workshop begins. Arrive as early as 9:15a to get extra peace and quiet. The event will start promptly at 10a.

What if I arrive late?

If you cannot make the 10a start time, that is ok! Just know that verbal instruction for art journaling prompts will not be available after the morning circle. Reflection templates and written art journaling prompts will be on hand.

Is this a silent retreat?

No. And, yes. We do not observe strict silence practices. However, the work is deeply personal and most folks gravitate toward and take solace in the quiet. We connect with one another through the opening and closing sessions, but this event is not primarily focused on socializing.

Do I need art skills to participate?

NO! No previous experience or skills are necessary.

Can I join if I missed previous sessions?

Yes. It is never too late to begin your rhythm of reflection! To be eligible for the end-of-year retreat, you must have attended at least 2 sessions or completed seasonal reflection work on your own time.
