We'll cover some basic stretches and things you can do to prepare for your paddle board session. Our friends from Georgetown Paddle will cover how to effectively set up your board, how to paddle, and how to safely get back on the board when you fall. Once we're out in the lake, we'll work on ways to easily stand and balance, and how you can begin to challenge your abilities with yoga poses as you get more confident. Don't be intimidated if you've never boarded before or haven't been able to figure out how to stand up. That is what this class is for! You can bring your own board or rent one. There will be free time at the end to paddle and practice.
