We're excited you're here to discover the possibilities with iMentor!
Mentor Orientation is your opportunity to learn how mentoring with iMentor can change a student’s life—and yours. It’s the essential first step on your journey to making a real difference for the next generation!
Do you have questions? That's great! Orientation is designed to give you all the information you need to decide if our program works for you. You’ll learn how 3-4 hours of intentional connection a month over two years can make a lasting impact on a student’s life, and how we provide the support you need every step of the way.
To sign up, please "Reserve a Spot" using the Eventbrite ticketing system, there's no purchase necessary. After you've filled out your information, click "Register". You'll receive a confirmation from Eventbrite including the event details and how to access the virtual meeting.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Brittany Harper at bharper@imentor.org.
Ready to enrich a student’s life? Let’s do this - together!

About iMentor
For over 25 years, iMentor has been building mentoring relationships that empower students to graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve their career ambitions. We’re proud to have paired over 42,000 students with mentors to unlock their potential.
Our program is focused on equity—we support students who often face the greatest barriers to success, helping to ensure every 11th and 12th grade student has the opportunity to succeed with the support of a mentor like you. By joining us, you become part of a legacy of mentors who’ve changed lives and shaped futures.
Mentor Time Commitment
Mentoring with iMentor fits into your life! Mentors and mentees exchange weekly messages and meet face-to-face once a month. You’ll start working with your student in their junior year of high school and continue to support them through high school graduation, with many staying connected in mentorship beyond high school. Think of it as 3-4 hours a month that leads to a lifetime of impact.
Mentor Requirements
Mentors must be at least 21 years old and will be required to complete a Baltimore schools background check. There are five steps to becoming matched with a mentee:
1) Attend Orientation
2) Fill out a Screening Application
3) 30-minute Phone Interview
4) Fingerprinting with Background Check
5) Complete a Match Questionnaire
