Information about the speakers and talks

Adéla Haníková

Captivated by the story of Enigma Adéla started her studies of mathematics with focus on information security. She discovered Capture the Flag competitions during the studies and found a great interest in that. After graduation she figured out that you can look for vulnerabilities and make a living out of it. It has been already ten years since she has been working as a penetration tester in Czech company ARICOMA.

How to open an account under someone else’s identity?

More and more things are handled online — including opening bank accounts. Whether it’s simply our reluctance to visit a bank branch in the Czech Republic or the need to open an account abroad (for example with Revolut), online onboarding is becoming the norm. Have you ever wondered whether it’s possible to open an account using someone else’s identity — and how that could be done? Now’s your chance to find out. We’ll show which checks are performed, what the potential attack vectors are, and how we succeeded with some of them. And don’t worry - AI won’t be missing from this presentation. 🙂

Eliška Krátká

Eliška is a PhD researcher at FIT & FNSPE CTU in Prague, working in the Q3 research group (Quantum Dynamics, Optics & Informatics). She focuses on quantum machine learning and its application to malware detection, with an emphasis on practical experimentation using real quantum hardware rather than purely theoretical work. Before moving into research full-time, she worked as an iOS developer at Avast, and her software engineering background now shapes her approach to quantum computing.

Quantum Machine Learning Methods for Malware Detection

What happens when you combine quantum computing, machine learning, and malware detection? In this talk, I’ll share insights from my research on applying quantum machine learning to malware detection. I’ll walk through which models I use, how they perform compared to classical benchmarks, what it takes to run these models on real quantum hardware, and what are the limitations of quantum computers available today. I offer a realistic look at what quantum computing and machine learning can (and can’t) do.

Additional information

• If using public transportation you can go to the metro station Nové Butovice which is very close from the office. For cars there are paid parking lots in the parking house across the street.
• After entering the building through the main entrance (from the Bucharova street) the meeting room is across the lobby in the left corner. You should also see the "OWASP" signs.
• There will be some snacks and soft drinks prepared for you during the event!
• Unless stated otherwise, talks will be in English and the recordings will be available online ( with speakers' permission) after the convention.
