Enjoy a relaxing and reflective afternoon creating a gift from nature to embellish your Thanksgiving Holiday table. In this 1.5 hour workshop, you will learn basic floral design techniques and gain an understanding of what is available to gather from nature during the fall season. You will even learn tips to transition your centerpiece from fall to winter.
All materials and supplies will be provided. The workshop will show you how to use fall leaves and branches, flowers, greenery and fruit in an arrangement. If you would like use your own floral container, please feel free to do so. Recommended size preference is no more than 7 inches width or diameter. You will be amazed at how much you can pack into a medium-sized container!
This workshop series, offered by Trellis Horticultural Therapy Alliance, strives to connect visitors to the mental wellness benefits of plants and gardneing, and as a way to connect with the local community to learn about our work enriching the lives of adults living with long-term disabilities.
Your class instructors are Rachel Cochran, Trellis co-founder, and Mary Lou Ramsey, floral designer. Both have collectively over 25 years of gardening and floral design experience! You will not be disappointed and you will leave with some new-found floral design skills and a beautiful arrangement to brighten you living space!
