Out in Tech Amsterdam | The Queer Tech Salon

Out in Tech is the world’s largest non-profit community of LBGTQ+ tech leaders, creating opportunities for our 45,000 members to advance their careers, grow their networks, and leverage tech for social change – and we’re growing our chapter in Amsterdam!

We are beyond thrilled to make this event happen for our community in partnership 🤝 with Workplace Pride, a not-for-profit foundation dedicated to improving the lives of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, and Queer (LGBTIQ+) people in workplaces worldwide. With nearly two decades of expertise, Workplace Pride focuses on awareness, research, training, and network building.

Step into an evening of camp, conversation, and candlelight as Out in Tech Amsterdam hosts its first-ever Queer Tech Salon—a modern spin on the classic French salon, reimagined through a queer and tech lens. An unserious format for the serious topics.

This won’t be your usual panel or mixer. Picture this:

🪶 Lively debate and wit worthy of an 18th-century tea room

🔥 Cardboard fireplace, fake mustaches, and a touch of theatrical flair

💬 Provocative conversation around one central question:

• How can we, as queer professionals in tech, transform our industry from the inside to build truly inclusive spaces?

Expect an intimate evening with around 25 of our community’s brightest minds - as we exchange ideas, challenge norms, and laugh (a lot) in the process.

🥂 Vibes: Playful yet profound. Intellectual yet irreverent. As always, fabulously queer.

🎩 Dress code (optional): Let loose! Trot out your most delectable 18th-century couture - wigs, waistcoats, lace, or velvet. Don’t have any? Fear not: appropriate accessories will be provided at the door.
