Best Practices for Serving Survivors Training
Led by WCA, this free, in-person training equips service providers, community members, and advocates with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively support survivors of domestic violence and other forms of trauma. Lunch will be provided.
What You’ll Learn:
- Trauma-Informed & Survivor-Centered Practices: Strategies to ensure housing and services meet the unique needs of survivors.
- Safety Planning & Confidentiality: Protocols for identifying and assessing survivors’ individual safety needs while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Amplifying Survivor Voices: Incorporating the rights, perspectives, and lived experiences of survivors into service delivery.
Who Should Attend:
Social workers, healthcare providers, first responders, nonprofit staff, community leaders, and anyone dedicated to supporting survivors through trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and equitable practices.
Important: This training is required for CoC/ESG recipient organizations. Partners that receive federal funding should send at minimum a few key program staff who can share information back with their teams.
