DESCRIPTION

Each tour lasts approximately 75 minutes and includes:

  • A guided tour of the facility, including a look at field equipment and samples, the ice core labs and drills, historical artifacts, and the Polar Rock Repository.
  • Descriptions of the research being done around the world by the Center's 16 teams.
  • A brief history of the Center as an OSU institution and video showing fieldwork.

Meet in the Auditorium, Room 240, on the second floor of Scott Hall. You will need to enter Scott Hall through Door #2 (each door is labeled) on the east side of the building and ascend the steps near the statue of Admiral Byrd.
